Meet: Rowie Geraets

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

While Rowie is Melbourne born and bred, a part of her still calls Byron Bay home after living there for a short stint in 08/09. Rowie has done a bit of everything, from 200-hour ashtanga yoga and 300-hour advanced vinyasa flow (level two), to the slower, stretchy yin teacher trainings. From the moment you walk into one of Rowie’s classes, you will feel at ease.

“She encourages students to have fun with their practice and go through the motions of being in or falling out of a pose with a laugh at the end.”

There’s no bootcamp body and practice shaming going on here, and you can sense that she doesn’t take life too seriously. She encourages students to have fun with their practice and go through the motions of being in or falling out of a pose with a laugh at the end. Rowie’s Hot and Vinyasa classes are strong, challenging and fluid, paying respect to where your body is at that day and taking you to your edge wherever that might be. Rowie’s Yin classes will leave you floating on a bit of a yin cloud, encouraging you to stop perhaps for the first time in your day, and find ease rather than struggle.

As a true believer that yoga can benefit people’s lives in every sense of the word, Rowie is happiest when teaching. Join her on the mat to experience this elation and contentment.
